The delay for the application to launch with Outlook has been reduced up to 50 % !

If you are a GrooveIT! for Outlook V1.0, you already know (and use) Groove Email and Contact tools provided with GrooveIT! to easily manage your published emails and contacts. GrooveIT ! for Outlook V2.0 now provides new Groove tools to manage Tasks and RSS articles. The Email and Contact tools have also been improved.

Here is the upgrade process for these tools. You will not lose any of your data during the upgrade process. The existing Email and Contact tools will be automatically updated and will continue to be effective. All you have to do is enjoy the improved features.

• From Groove launchbar, create a new “template”workspace. Choose the template called “GrooveIT! space for Emails” (or “GrooveIT! space for Contacts”) and name it “temp space”
• Open the workspace, and navigate to the Groove 1.0 Email tool or Contact tool, you need to migrate. Check the GrooveIT! version by clicking “About this tool” in the “Help” menu. The version number should be “1.0.0.0”
• We advise you to backup data stored in the tool before migrating as a precaution .... Click “Export all Entries” in the “File” menu, then “Binary XML”. A window pops up. Choose “Export all entries in tool”. Choose a filename and click OK.
• In the « File » menu, click « Replace Design ». A window pops up. Choose the workspace created at the beginning of this process (“temp space”). Choose “GrooveIT! Emails »  (or « GrooveIT ! Contacts ») and click OK. A confirmation window pops up. Click « OK »
• You should now have a V2.0 tool. To check, click on “About this tool” in the “Help” menu. The version number should be “2.0.0.0”

Nota Bene : This migration process works for both Groove Virtual Office and Microsoft Office Groove 2007. Nevertheless, there are some minor differences in the menu labels between these 2 versions of Groove.

You have created a folder in Outlook to store some of your e-mails. You decide to create a GrooveIT! rule upon this existing folder in order to automatically transfer to Groove any email you will move to this folder. See also the video: How-To : Create a GrooveIT! rule on an emails folder.

You can do the same for already existing emails. When creating the GrooveIT! rule, select “options” in the last window of the assistant, and tick the “Run this rule now !” box.

In this way you not only create the rule, but you also immediately apply it to all existing e-mails.

Competition watch has become easier with the RSS feeds. Websites, blogs, articles are more often available under RSS format.

With Outlook 2007, you can subscribe easily to your favorite RSS feeds and received automatically the newest/latest articles. A good mean for you to stay tuned!

We advise current users of GrooveIT! for Microsoft Office Outlook 1.0 to upgrade to release 2.0 and benefit from all new features and enhancements (see list here).  The upgrade is free of charge !

When upgrading, there are two possible scenarios:



Download and install release 2.0

• If you have already activated your licenses, there’s nothing else you need to do.   Release 2.0 is ready for use!
• If you have not activated your licenses yet, you will need to open the license manager screen and activate GrooveIT! release 2.0 by using your release 1.0 license number.   The license number will be accepted and converted into a release 2.0 license.
  

Download and install release 2.0. Your current trial license will be invalid, but you can request a new trial license, enabling you to try the new release for 10 days!
